Tajemnica Spowiedzi (Secret of Confession)

About the film

Secret of Confession tells a story of a religious old woman who is going through a difficult time in her life. She is not gaining respect from anyone and is being constantly confronted by misbehaving youngsters, therefore she decides to punish them for their terrible behavior in her secret little protest which only the priest and the audience are privileged to know about. This short drama is aimed to show an interesting side of Polish Culture. The old woman goes one step further than the others and decides to do what she thinks is right. The protagonist makes the shop she works in the sacred place where no pornography and no contraception is welcome. After few quite unpleasant experiences she had with young people, the lead character decides to act like God. Her extreme action brings terrible results. What now matters to her is God’s forgiveness.

About the filmmaker

‘Secret of Confession’ is the first film done by QMU Media student, Agata Jagodzinska. She has been interested in photography since early age and that’s why shooting a film on a Canon 550D appeared as a great opportunity to challenge her skills. Agata talks about her filmmaking experience as the best one to date.
